The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. (1 Peter 5:7-9)
Jon and I spent the day in great fellowship with friends yesterday. After a morning of worship and study, we were blessed by sharing a meal with our friends who have adopted internationally. It is wonderful to be around others who have the same passion and love for orphans and children in general. We had to hurry to get to the adoption meeting at 4:00 and then were blessed with a chance to welcome home another family with their new daughter from Ethiopia. I found out they live really close to us, so a new play date is in the works.
To top off such a wonderful day, when I got online last night, I found out we had a $500 donation and was overwhelmed. I just don't have the words to express how blessed I am by others obedience to hearing the Lord asking them to be involved in bringing Krystyna home, or just the love they feel towards her or our family. I am constantly reminded that HE (God) can remove these barriers that just seem so huge to us. I continue to feel like the people of Israel doubting and questioning, how? And then at other moments I have such faith and trust and confidence in our Lord, even when I can't see how. I want that belief all the time! So, I continue to draw near to HIM and ask Him to pour out His Spirit on me every moment of every day. "I will seek Him in the morning, and learn to walk in Your ways, and step by step You'll lead me, and I will follow you all of my day."
